Bosch Power Tools and Accessories announced the expansion of its cordless Ni-Cad power tool line with the addition of the 3918 18-volt 10-inch Compound Miter Saw. Boasting up to 100 cuts in 1-inch-by-6-inch pine on a single charge, the newest cordless miter saw is the perfect addition to any Bosch professional 18-volt cordless system. No longer will a lack of power or a remote location deter professionals from the convenience of bringing their saw to the work. With the cordless Bosch 3918, professionals such as trim carpenters, remodelers, flooring installers and deck builders have all the power they need to make quick and easy cuts anytime and anywhere. A sturdy 21-inch wide aluminum base acts as the saw's backbone. Convenient sliding extensions expand the base to 24-inches to provide extra support for longer material. A 3-1/2-inch fence smoothly slides to the left for easy bevel setups and increased crown molding cutting capacity, while a quick release lever makes the adjustment a snap. Quick and accurate crown molding cuts are possible with special miter and bevel detents at 31.6 and 33.9 degrees, respectively. The Bosch-exclusive wedge and slot miter detent system secures consistent and precise miter angles. A miter detent override adds to the convenience when setting neighboring angles for custom cuts. Furthermore, a spindle lock makes blade changes quick and easy. The newest cordless Bosch miter saw is available as a kit (3918) with a single long-lasting 2.4 AMP Bluecore battery guaranteed for two years, one-hour Bosch charger, 24 tooth blade, material clamp and dust bag. For those adding to their 18-volt system, the saw is also available in a tool-only execution (3918B). Optional accessories include a tote bag that can fit the complete saw for easy transport, 12-inch extension kit and the Bosch Digitial Miterfinder.

This is a great product. It actually could be used for a lot of different things. I personally use this mida saw for cutting pvc pipe for straight quick cuts. A plumber would benefit from this product tremendously. But, I wish it would of been offered with the battery and battery charger. Why they do not offer it together I wish I knew.
I wanted a saw to go with my cordless drill. No cord, and portable. I bought it when the ad read-Tool Only.
The photo was of the saw and 2 battery packs. After reading the review on this item that reported no battery or charger with the purchase of the saw. I purchased the saw advertising of (better together). This also did not include the charger. Why would anyone purchase the power tool, Two battery packs and no charger.I DID THE JOKE IS ON ME, ANOTHER $40.00 FOR A CHARGER.
Could some one send me the add that shows me my saw as being advertised as no battery and charger.
